Creating 3D Solid by Revolving
The Revolve command lets you create a 3D solid by revolving a closed 2D drawing element about an axis.
The following 2D drawing elements can be used: Region, Circle, Ellipse, Polyline.
How to create a 3D Solid by Revolving
- Click on 3D Solid > Revolve
on the Ribbon.

- Enter REVOLVE in the command window.
- Select the drawing elements to be rotated in the graphics area.
- Specify a start point for the axis of rotation in the graphics area.
- Specify an end point for the axis of rotation in the graphics area.
- Enter a numeric value for the rotation angle in the command window.
