Creating a Box
You can use the Box command to create a Box as a 3D solid.
The base of the Box is parallel to the XY plane.
How to create a Box by specifying the opposite corner points and the height of the Box:
- Click on 3D Solid > Box
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter BOX in the command window.
- Specify the First corner of the base of the box in the graphics area.
- Specify the Opposite corner of the base.
- Enter a numeric value for the Height of the box in the command window.
How to create a Box by specifying the center of the base:
- Click on 3D Solid > Box
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter BOX in the command window.
- Enter Center in the command window.
- Specify the center of the base in the graphics area.
- Enter a numeric value for the Height of the box in the command window
How to create a Box by specifying the length, width and height:
- Click on 3D Solid > Box
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter BOX in the command window.
- Specify the First corner of the base of the box in the graphics area
or
Enter Center in the command window to specify the center of base. - Enter Length in the command window.
- Enter a numeric value for the Length in the X direction.
- Enter a numeric value for the Width in the Y direction.
- Enter a numeric value for the Height in the Z direction.
How to make a Cube:
- Click on 3D Solid > Box
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter BOX in the command window.
- Specify the First corner of the base of the box in the graphics area
or
Enter Center in the command window to specify the center of base. - Enter Cube in the command window.
- Enter a numeric value for the Edge length of the cube.
