An Infinite Line (XLine) is a line that goes through a point and runs to infinity in both directions.


How to create new X-Lines:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Specify the position of the through point for all new XLines.
  3. Define the position of the second through point.
  4. Repeat step 3 to insert more XLines.
  5. Press Enter to end the command.


How to create vertical XLines:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Vertical in the command window.
  3. Specify the position of the vertical XLine.
  4. Repeat step 3 to insert more vertical XLines.
  5. Press Enter to end the command.


How to create horizontal XLines:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Horizontal in the command window.
  3. Specify the position of the horizontal XLine.
  4. Repeat step 3 to insert more horizontal XLines.
  5. Press Enter to end the command.


To create XLines specifying an angle:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Angle in the command window.
  3. Enter the numeric value of the angle in the command window.
  4. Specify the position of the XLine.
  5. Repeat step 4 to insert more parallel XLines.
  6. Press Enter to end the command.


How to create a bisector as XLines:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Bisect in the command window.
  3. Specify the corner point position of the bisector.
  4. Specify a point for the first angle.
  5. Specify a point for the second angle.
  6. Repeat step 5 to insert more bisectors.
  7. Press Enter to end the command.


To create a XLine parallel to an existing line with spacing:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Offset in the command window.
  3. Enter the numeric value for the offset in the command window.
  4. Select a linear drawing element in the graphics area.
  5. Specify the target side of the XLine in the graphics area.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to insert more parallel XLines.
  7. Press Enter to end the command.


How to create a XLine parallel to an existing line that goes through a point:

  1. Click on Draw > XLine on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter XLINE in the command window.
  2. Enter Offset in the command window.
  3. Enter Position in the command window.
  4. Select a linear drawing element in the graphics area.
  5. Specify the position of the XLine.
  6. Repeat step 5 to insert more parallel XLines.
  7. Press Enter to end the command.
