Drawing a Infinite Line (XLine)
An Infinite Line (XLine) is a line that goes through a point and runs to infinity in both directions.
How to create new X-Lines:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Specify the position of the through point for all new XLines.
- Define the position of the second through point.
- Repeat step 3 to insert more XLines.
- Press Enter to end the command.
How to create vertical XLines:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Enter Vertical in the command window.
- Specify the position of the vertical XLine.
- Repeat step 3 to insert more vertical XLines.
- Press Enter to end the command.
How to create horizontal XLines:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Enter Horizontal in the command window.
- Specify the position of the horizontal XLine.
- Repeat step 3 to insert more horizontal XLines.
- Press Enter to end the command.
To create XLines specifying an angle:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Enter Angle in the command window.
- Enter the numeric value of the angle in the command window.
- Specify the position of the XLine.
- Repeat step 4 to insert more parallel XLines.
- Press Enter to end the command.
How to create a bisector as XLines:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Enter Bisect in the command window.
- Specify the corner point position of the bisector.
- Specify a point for the first angle.
- Specify a point for the second angle.
- Repeat step 5 to insert more bisectors.
- Press Enter to end the command.
To create a XLine parallel to an existing line with spacing:
- Click on Draw > XLine
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter XLINE in the command window.
- Enter Offset in the command window.
- Enter the numeric value for the offset in the command window.
- Select a linear drawing element in the graphics area.
- Specify the target side of the XLine in the graphics area.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 to insert more parallel XLines.
- Press Enter to end the command.

- Enter Offset in the command window.
- Enter Position in the command window.
- Select a linear drawing element in the graphics area.
- Specify the position of the XLine.
