The drawing is displayed in the Graphics area. Here you can insert or edit new drawing elements.

You can open several drawing files at the same time, with the active drawing file always displayed in the graphics area.


Crosshair

As soon as you are asked to specify a point, a vector or an angle, a crosshair appears in the graphics area.

The crosshair shows the current pointer position in the crosshair. In addition, the coordinates are given in the status bar.


Coordinate symbol

The coordinate symbol shows the position of the axes of the coordinate system. It is displayed in the origin of coordinates if the origin is in the visible area. Otherwise the coordinate symbol is shown in the lower left area. You can specify whether and where the coordinate symbol is displayed.


This is how you can set the display options for the coordinate symbol:

  1. Click the icon View > UCS-Icon on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter csicon in the command window.
  2. Choose an option:

•   Off: Coordinate symbol is not displayed

•   On: Coordinate symbol is displayed

•   No_Origin: Coordinate symbol is always displayed at the bottom left

•   Origin: The coordinate symbol is displayed in the coordinate origin if the origin is in the visible area, otherwise at the bottom left
