The Extrude command lets you create a 3D solid by extruding a closed 2D drawing element.

The following 2D drawing elements can be used: Region, Circle, Ellipse, Polyline.


How to create a 3D Solid by Extrusion

  1. Click on 3D Solid > Extrude on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter EXTRUDE in the command window.
  2. In the graphics area, select the drawing elements to be extruded.
  3. Enter a numeric value for the Height of the extrusion.
    or
    Enter Taper angle in the Command window, and then enter a numeric value for the taper angle.
