Creating 3D Solid by Sweeping
The Sweep command lets you create a 3D solid by extruding a closed 2D drawing element along a path.
The following 2D drawing elements can be used: Region, Circle, Ellipse, Polyline.
To create a 3-D Solid by Extruding it along a path (Sweeping)
- Click on 3D Solid > Sweep
on the Ribbon.
or
- Enter SWEEP in the command window.
- In the graphics area, select the drawing elements to be extruded.
- Select the sweep path in the graphics area
or
Enter Alignment in the command window to define the alignment of the cross-sections with the sweep path.
Yes: The cross section is aligned perpendicular to the sweep path.
No: The cross-section is not aligned.
