Use the Offset command to offset drawing elements parallel.


How to offset a drawing element:

  1. Click on Modify > Offset on the Ribbon.

or

  1. Enter OFFSET in the command window.
  2. Enter a numeric value for the distance (offset) between the source and target element in the command window.
    or 
    Enter one of the following options in the Command window:
           Delete: Source element is deleted.
           Destination_Layer: If this option is selected, the target element is placed on the active layer.
           Through_Point: The distance is chosen so that the target element goes through the point.
  3. Select a drawing element in the graphics area.
  4. In the graphics area, click the destination side.
    or
    Define the through point in the graphics area if you selected the option through_point.
